In Mpumalanga,  South Africa, near Sabie ( 24°40′28″S 30°48′39″E. ) where the Blyderivier (Happy River) meets the Treurrivier (Sad River) there are these amazing Potholes, formed by the swirling of the water over many, many years…  The Place is called Bouke’s Luck, because a little bit of gold was found here in the 1800’s by Mr Tom Bourke…

And yes, it is located on some of the best Biking roads in our country…🙂

  1. Dammmmm!!!🙂 Does that mean I cannot use my pics? We paid a visit to Bourkes Potholes on the trip from Mt Sheba to Sausage Tree Camp. Great photos. My lens would not capture the whole scene as you have done. Love the area….and South Africa. We may even return next year.
