When I took photos of the veld fire on Saturday, I came across this beauty of our region- The Coral Tree Erythrina lysistemon. It looked so beautiful and unharmed, while the fire was burning 20 meters away.

We have those coral trees here as well – obviously exotics – and our Tuis love them

This is a beauty. I think this is one of the most wonderful trees of the Bush veld.
