Absolute stunning photo, especially with the lingering red glow animating the fire-force that passed through.
I think I must go revisit these places on Monday and see what is left of this tree, that branch was burning from the inside… keep watching, I scheduled the best photos over the next few days…

Thanks, I live in town so I am safe… but I saw somebody with a thatch roof near that fire, I would not like to be him with all the sparks and wind still blowing about…
Mixed blessings sometimes, in nature it clears the deadwood and revitalises, but devastating to wildlife and man alike.
This is a Blue Gum tree (Eucalyptus globulus), and we are trying to get rid of them as they are not indigenous and consume a kiloliter of water every single day- so the fire does help too… 🙂
