The last song I have heard, is Broken Arrow by Rod Steward– Ok, that is the second line, the third is not that great a post title!
The Lyrics of this great oldie:
Broken Arrow- Rod Steward:
Who else is gonna bring you a broken arrow
Who else is gonna bring you a bottle of rain
There he goes moving across the water
There he goes turning my whole world around
Do you feel what I feel
Can we make it so that’s part of the deal
I gotta hold you in these arms of steel
Lay your heart on the line this time
I wanna breathe when you breathe
When you whisper like that hot summer breeze
Count the beads of sweat that cover me
Didn’t you show me a sign this time
Who else is gonna bring you a broken arrow
Who else is gonna bring you a bottle of rain
There he goes moving across the water
There he goes turning my whole world around, around
Do you feel what I feel
Do you feel what I feel
Ah can you see what I see
Can you cut behind the mystery
I will meet you by the witness tree
Leave the whole world behind
I want to come when you call
Ill get to you if I have to crawl
They can’t hold me with these iron walls
We got mountains to climb, to climb
Who else is gonna bring you a broken arrow
Who else is gonna bring you a bottle of rain
There he goes moving across the water
There he goes turning my whole world around
Turning my whole world around
Turning my whole world around
Turning my whole world around…
If I want to bring my lady a bottle of wine, I need a fast set of wheels- a man’s gotta go when a man’s gotta go!
Photo: Speed I can do… maybe not on this, though…. A project bike with a BMW Boxer engine- anything from 850-1200 cc… No, not my bike, and apologies to the owner, maybe it is lightning fast… 🙂
Rather, if I want to take my lady a bottle of wine, I want to ride on this: (also BMW driven…)
As a Biker I love Classic Rock music… and when I am thinking of Bikes- this song comes up on my computer: Bon Jovi- Dead or Alive…
Everyday it seems we’re wasting away
Another place where the faces are so cold
I’d drive all night just to get back home
I’m a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I’m wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive
Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it’s not for days
And the people I meet always go their separate ways
Sometimes you tell the day
By the bottle that you drink
And times when you’re alone all you do is think
I’m a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I’m wanted (wanted) dead or alive
Wanted (wanted) dead or alive
Oh! And I ride!
I’m A cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I’m wanted (wanted) Dead or alive
Now I walk these streets, this six string in my hand
Still playin’ for keeps, ‘same old me same old band,
I been everywhere, and I’m standing tall
I’ve seen a million faces (seen an awful lot of faces)
I’m a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I’m wanted (wanted) dead or alive
I’m a cowboy, I got the night on my side
I’m wanted (wanted) dead or alive
And I ride, dead or alive
I still drive, dead or alive
Dead or alive [x4]
That is my dreams… but in real life I am just a small town pastor on an old, old blue BMW Roadster…

Bon Jovi- Runaway- now that is lekker music!
Lekker- don’t you know any South Africans? It can’t be translated so easily, it means “nice”/ “good”/ “delicious and much much more…
You pronounce it in 2 syllables- “lack” and “cur” … there you go- you are now welcome to visit South Africa, it will be lekker!

The BMW looks really cool. Nice.
Which one? Mine at the bottom? Thanks! The more I look at that top one, the more I think one like mine, a year or two newer than mine, was used as the base…

I know, I know, it should be “bottle of rain…” but then again, this is my imagination, in a foreign language… actually it should have been: “There he goes moving across the water…” but what am I going to do with that? So I take the literary freedom of expression clause…
