Daily Prompt: Tables Turned
by michelle w. on July 6, 2013
Are as comfortable in front of a camera as behind one? Being written about, as well as writing?
Photographers, artists, poets: show us DISCOMFORT.

Although I LOVE to take pictures of other people, it makes me extremely uncomfortable to look into a lens myself… One of the occupational hazards of my job is old ladies feeding me cake and tea at every visit, and all my cycling can’t keep up with their killing me with kindness program in the church. So I am always embarrassed at seeing myself on photos.
Here is one of my daughters photos of me, looking with discomfort into her lens.

Daai is ‘n baie nice en karaktervolle foto.
I love this photograph…your eyes tell the story of a journey full on interesting twists and lessons. This photo would make an awesome watercolor too:)
Cool photo. I also prefer to be behind the camera.
Thanks oh Nutty one!
Like father like daughter! This is a stunning photo. I could not even bear to let someone get THAT close to me with a lens! You carry it off with aplomb.
I think it was a HUGE telephoto lens from far far away… 🙂
Wonderful character on your face. Your daughter captured it well.
Thanks ballerina, it is the first time somebody said that to me!
Great photo, sp much emotion captured. I too prefer to be behind the camera.
