Now I am taking you to my favourite city in all the world! Let me tell you why with 10 reasons- I could give a 100 easily… :
1. There is Table Mountain, a World Heritage Site:
Maybe I should post the Cable car… ehh no, my 2nd Bike is much prettier…
2. There are beautiful beaches like Clifton and Camps Bay:
3. There is the Scenic route around Chapman’s Peak…
5. There is the fantastic “Ons Huisie” Restaurant at Bloubergstrand…
6. Also at Bloubergstrand the place I had my honeymoon so many moons ago: The Blue Peter hotel– the best place to be for sunset drinks in Cape Town…
7. And, yes, at the Blue Peter, have a Mitchell’s Brewery Bosun’s Bitter Draft…
8. The Victoria and Albert Waterfront in Cape Town is really touristy… one good reason to visit, also for Mitchell’s Bosun Bitter is the Ferryman’s Tavern…
9. Cape Town have some of the most beautiful girls in the world! Like: Roxy Louw:
Just go visit the Coffee shops beachside at Camps Bay, and you will probably see quite a few international supermodels and actresses . This is also the place to see Top Gear type Sportscars…
10. And finally, the reason I go to Cape Town each year: There is the Argus Cycle Tour each March around Table Mountain- me nd 36 000 other mad people. I have done 19 off them, each one since 1995…
The motherland…possibly THE most beautiful city in the world!
Istanbul is also very beautiful… THanks for visiting!
It is indeed, but it doesn’t have the mountains…
Kyk hoe lat jy my nou verlang.
Sorry… onthou- in die kaap steel die manne jou selfoon…
Hier ook maar.
You should try Triggerfish Micro Brewery in Somerset West
I will have to make a note of that, thanks!
I hope one day to see Cape Town. It looks beautiful. Thanks for posting those photographs.
My hometown, my mountain, my sea!!! Die beste plek in die land!
Lekker ou plek ja…
I can see why this is one of your favorite places, I would love to be able to ride over there. Very nice.
Very nice biking routes- the bikers living there can have breakfast each weekend at another place and go YEARS without repeating…
Very nice, I should plan to visit Cape Town!
Yes you should! Thanks for the visit!
Wow- another good reason to visit Cape Town now: http://tablemountain.net/blog/entry/dutch_tall_ship_dramatically_framed_by_table_mountain/
OK, if the Cable Car is really more your thing than my beautiful Aprilia Pegaso in point 1, you can visit them here… http://tablemountain.net/
Did I mention some of the World’s best motorcycle routes- like Chapman’s peak for the view and the R44 from Gordon’s Bay to Hermanus?
Your beautiful photos make me want to visit – thanks for posting them.
Thanks for visiting my blog… come and visit Cape Town, there is enough to see and do for every possible taste…
Someday I’ll do just that.
Jy moet daardie inside info so in jou blog insmokkel, sommer so terloops noem… 🙂
Just made me remember why I love my city so much! I’ll agree on all of the points except the brewery (replace with wine, we have THE BEST wine route in the world) and the girls. OK, have to agree about the pretty girls, but that will just be kind of weird, so I will replace girls with the rich culture of Cape Town (like the Minstrel Carnival). Love my Cape Town
My favourite wine is Slanghoek Cellars… not in the Cape Town radius… 🙂 Will one day do a visit to the Winelands though- Beyerskloof, Franschhoek’s vineyards, Nederburgh… I think some of the world’s best wines…
Wish I could be there for Bon Jovi last week… but not the Biebermania…
Ai, Ruiter, as ek eers begin…. Onregverdig! Nou verlang ek erg Kaap toe.
Ek ook… maar ek vlieg darem 29 Mei Kaap toe… 🙂
ALWEER?? Geniet!
Cape Town friends, I know, I know- there are 999 other places to mention, like the vineyards, Kirstenbosch, Muizenberg, Simon’s Town… etc etc- what do YOU feel should have made the top 10? I know- Minki van der Westhuizen… (http://minki.co.za/)
