Goodbye Cape Town

This morning we had to start turning back. I am on duty again on Sunday morning. But we did the travel thing in style, not following the shortest route, but choosing the scenic drive. We turned away from the N1 route at Worcester, going onto Route 60, which becomes the famous Route 62. We had some coffee at Robertson, a beer at Ronnies Sex Shop, and stopped at the Calitzdorp Vineyards. Blazed through Oudtshoorn where the Klein Karoo Arts Festival is winding down. We stopped again at the waterfall in Meiringskloof just before sunset. As it was just my family there, I made another bucket list iem come true at the icy cold but beautiful pool beneath the waterfall… We drove on, and booked two rooms at the Formula 1 hotel in Beaufort West. I drove all the way, and am quite knackered tonight. Will be in bed soon to start early tomorrow morning for a 1100 km drive home…
